It’s been a month since I bought a new Acer Predator Helios 300 from Flipkart at Rs. 89,999. My variant has an Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, and 128 GB SSD. The main reason why I considered buying a powerful laptop is that I have a passion for Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and somewhat Gaming. In my personal opinion, this is a perfect laptop for Gaming and Educational Purposes and the price is much lower than that of other laptops of the same specifications.

In my opinion, the laptop has a great look with a screen size of 15.6 inches and the keyboard backlight comes handy during the night when I have to code or play games. It is durable and not so portable but given the high specifications, they make it up for its weight. It is quite heavy (2.7 Kg) but it is slim.

I can play games like Counter Strike Global Offensive, Fortnite, PUBG, Nevermind, etc., in High Settings as there is a 6GB Nvidia 1060 GTX Graphics card. They have helped me with running up Deep Learning Algorithms a lot, which I had never been able to do so with my previous laptop.

Whenever I have to set overclocking or particular fan speed of the CPU or GPU, I do so with the help of PredatorSense, which sometimes helps with overcoming the problem of overheating and playing games at high settings.

I've been a big fan of VR games and this laptop is VR friendly and has an Ultimate Graphics platform for Virtual Reality. I can even run Game Development software like Unity3D, Maya Autodesk, etc.

Worst Features

Even though this is the best laptop I've ever had, it still has some demerits, but they're not much to worry about.

Battery Life

This feature is neither good nor bad because the battery lasts for about 3-4 hours and it is not quite handy if I’m away from a charging port for a long time. Since it is a gaming laptop, the battery life is much better than other gaming laptops. Whenever I’m playing a game at high settings, it doesn’t last much longer but for browsing and general stuff, it lasts for 4 hours.

Whenever I press the touchpad a little bit hard, some temporary marks are formed and sometimes it seems to be a bit displaced but otherwise, it's working fine. For gaming purposes, I'd recommend you to buy a separate mouse but if you're coding, the touchpad is all good.

Acer Predator Helios 300 is a good laptop on an overall basis, so I'd rate it 9/10. If it continues to show this performance in the future, it deserves a rating of 10/10. It is a bit heavier than other laptops (2.7 Kg), but it is slim and the screen size is huge (15.6 inches). If you're a gamer or you're into Machine Learning/Deep Learning, this might be the best option for you at this price. My favorite feature about this laptop is the PredatorSense because it helps me in setting up Overclocking, CPU and GPU fan speed.
