I broke the original USB-C cable for my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Too bad, I had to suffer using its micro USB to USB-C adaptor with some substandard USB cables, until I finally came across the Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (Model: A8163) at a mall. Fortunately, my best friend and travel buddy bought it for me immediately. Well, it was a request long overdue. However, I didn’t know which brand to settle for, and I also didn’t have the money at that time. I was just looking for a low-budget cable, but I was saved by a friend who was principled enough not to settle for anything less.

It’s Durable: With A 5000+ Bend Lifespan
The Anker A8163 boasts of a lifespan of over 5,000 bends. It may be a little hard to imagine what that really means. At least to me, though, it means that this USB-C cable can withstand getting twisted and turned for years. (It comes with a 1-year warranty, by the way.)
Indeed, for ten months now, it turns out that it functions just as well as when I tried it first at the Anker store—despite twisting and bending it over and over again!
It’s Sturdy: I Didn’t Have To Resort To That Adaptor Set-Up Again
Before I had the Anker PowerLine USB-C Cable, I just settled for the following rather patience-trying set-up: using the Samsung Micro USB to USB-C adaptor with a substandard micro USB cable.
Samsung Micro USB to USB-C Adaptor
Needless to say, I always ended up with a few more broken micro USB cables. Soon, I grew tired of the set-up. My charging time was continually interrupted with hiccups of a disconnected cable. And, my Note’s battery was in danger of getting stressed, as well.

The best news is that I never had that disconnection problem with my Anker PowerLine. In fact, the USB-C itself shows no sign of breaking. Durable, indeed!
It’s Fast: With Up To 5 Gbps Data Transfer Speed
When I still looking for a USB-C cable, I never really asked for the grandest of specs. I just wanted it to be durable enough—the opposite of the original Samsung cable I had.
With the Anker A8163, I got more than what I’ve asked for. For Php 645.00 (around US$ 13), I already got a 3-feet cable that enables me to transfer data to and from my computer seamlessly—thanks to the USB 3.0 on its other end.
It’s Versatile: Works Well With My Samsung Fast Charger And PowerBank
In other words, I can depend on it. In fact, I always brought this cable with me wherever I go on my phone. That way, I can beef up my battery swiftly.
Indeed, the Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable is excellent. Again, it was a gift from my best friend, and I’m thankful she always has a keen eye for what’s best. Overall, the Anker A8163 is a 10/10 for me.
